To us (people in Peace Club), International Day of Peace is just like the New Year Festival. We are all very excited about it. Since International Day of Peace was on Saturday back in 2019, students in San Francisco International High School started to celebrate it earlier. They spent a week printing out doves, and wrote down a quote/word that reminded or connected them with International Day of Peace. Some students also added the colors that they thought could represent “Peace” on the doves.
The pictures here are the two posters of doves that we (Peace Club leaders) collected from each class at San Francisco International High School. We hung them on the wall near the school entrance, so that everyone could enjoy these peaceful signs as they walked in. However, these two posters were not all of the doves that we had. There were some doves that we put in some classrooms as decorations.
