Camping Retreat Connects and Empowers!
The annual camping retreat on October 5th-7th, 2018 took place in Anthony Chabot Park. According to youth leaders there were:
- 49 HOURS
- 16 HUMANS
- 7 TENTS.
- 1000’s OF STARS.
We hiked in daylight and at night; practiced solving conflicts non-violently (NVC); took turns cooking and cleaning; stood up to stereotypes; communed with the deer and the turkeys; learned about each others’ fears and hopes, traumas and power. We built community.
